Who has never dreamed facing challenges like in Fort Boyard, racing through an adventure to score as many points as possible, with the pressure of wanting to outperform the competition?

Action Game is exactly that — and so much more.

Not to be confused with Escape Games.

It’s easy to confuse Action Games with Escape Games. While they may seem similar in some ways, they differ in several fundamental aspects.

Where Escape Games aim to immerse you in a story through themed, narrative-driven puzzles, Action Games focus on speed, energy, and challenge.

The Goal of an Action Game

In an Action Game, you will face a variety of challenges that may be physical, mental, or sometimes a mix of both, all with the goal of scoring as many points as possible. In competitive sessions, you will also feel the pressure of having to outscore your opponents. Action Games are often divided into several varied challenge rooms or stations, allowing everyone to shine at some point during the experience.

Several franchises have emerged in recent years in the indoor leisure industry based on this concept, such as Prison Island, Rush, and Gameside, across France. These franchises are primarily aimed at individuals looking to enjoy a dynamic adventure with challenges designed for everyone.

These challenges may include, for example:

Who is the Action Game for?

At Blockhaus, we primarily designed our Action Game for groups of 30 to 100 players at the same time. First and foremost, we have companies in mind that are looking for an original and dynamic team building activity. We offer a variety of challenges that allow everyone to shine in their own strengths, while fostering both team spirit and healthy competition. But we also think of private groups, associations, and works councils looking for a mobile, easy-to-set-up activity that stands out from the ordinary.

Action Game at Le Blockhaus

Based in Carentan-les-Marais in the Manche department (50), Le Blockhaus offers its Action Game experience throughout Normandy and Brittany.

We offer general knowledge challenges such as quizzes on history or geography, as well as thinking challenges like a treasure hunt on a giant floor map or a subway map challenge where players must answer questions as quickly as possible. We place strong emphasis on energy and speed to keep teams fully engaged until the very last second of the time limit.

Most often, our Action Game experience is combined with our Escape Boxes. These lean more toward the Escape Game style, allowing this package to deliver the best of both worlds in a single experience. Teams can choose for themselves when to switch between the two formats in order to score as many points as possible.

Everything runs through our Landing Zone app and can host up to 20 teams competing simultaneously!
